Dr. Melanie Evans

Reproductive Endocrinology & Fertility Specialist

Dr. Melanie Evans is excited to welcome new patients to our Plano location, where she is eager to help families achieve their dreams. She earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in electrical engineering from Southern Methodist University as well as a minor in ballet. Dr. Evans was a distinguished scholar, receiving multiple accolades such as the Rotunda Award, Merit Scholar designation, and a member of multiple honor societies.

Before embarking on her professional academic journey, Dr. Evans trained with the Houston Ballet Pre-Professional Company, and she continues to hone her passion for ballet to this day. After completing her engineering studies, she discovered her true calling in medicine and began her medical studies at the University of Texas Southwestern (UTSW) in Dallas where she was elected Vice President of her class and chosen to be a member of the Golden Humanism Honor Society. She earned her Doctor of Medicine degree and went on to complete her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at UTSW/Parkland, where she also served as an Administrative Chief Resident.

She then completed her training at UT Southwestern with her Fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility where she received specialized training in multiple aspects of fertility treatment including diminished ovarian reserve. During her fellowship she was also able to work closely with the Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery Department as well as the Pediatric Gynecology Department to further her skills in reproductive surgery, surgical management of Mullerian anomalies, and ovarian tissue cryopreservation. Dr. Evans has numerous publications through her research with the Cecil and Ida Green Center for Reproductive Biologic Sciences as well as presentations at multiple conferences including the American Society for Reproductive Medicine.

Dr. Evans and her husband reside in East Dallas with their daughter Vivienne and labradoodle Prudence. She and her husband met in medical school, and he is now a Neonatologist with Children’s Health. Dr. Evans is excited to continue as a physician with DFW Fertility Associates and is deeply committed to her patients, offering compassionate care and guidance as they begin their fertility journey.
